E85 Fuel - Should I use it in my motorcycle?
NO. E85 fuel has an ethanol content that is far too high compared to standard fossil fuels. It is a 85% ethanol, 15% pump gas mix. E85 fuel cars will self-compensate by adding fuel on the fly, but bikes don't work this way (even models with factory-installed OEM sensors).
E85 Fuel Note
Although some thrifty racers have chosen to use E85 as an alternative to conventional pump gas or more expensive race fuels to boost power, Brock's Performance does not recommend or support its use. Our experience is that most modern motorcycle fuel systems cannot deliver the higher volume, and many FI controllers cannot properly meter the increased rate. This can lead to severe engine damage under certain conditions.
The use of E85 fuel is considered a modification from the OEM configuration and beyond the realm of our map support program.
