Are street maps available for sidewinder exhaust systems?
Brock's performance policy is that we do not produce street maps for race systems. Because Brock's 4-2-1 sidewinder TiWinder exhausts naturally hamper right-hand cornering clearance, they are not considered street systems.
The track maps we provide for use with our exhausts are optimized for use with oxygenated fuels such as VP MR12 (stock engine) and MRX02 (Modified/high compression engine and/or Nitrous Oxide use)
Racers who would like to run pump gas may do so with the track map. We run 87-89 Octane in place of the MR12 and 93-94 in place of MRX02.
Pump gas will run a bit richer than the oxygenated race fuels, but this helps control heat and prevent detonation under street conditions.
As a general rule: Pump gas can be used in conjunction with MR12/MRX02 maps with no ill effects - a richer Air Fuel ratio will result.
On the other hand; MR12/MRx02 should NOT be used with Street Map or Pump Track Maps as engine damage could result from an excessively lean Air Fuel Ratio.
