Does the oil cooler removal kit work for the GSX-R1000?

Yes, the kit will work on the GSX-R1000. However, we do not recommend removing the oil cooler on this model for most applications.

The GSX-R1000 tends to run very high oil temperatures at the crank bearings, and removing the oil cooler can lead to reduced engine reliability. This modification is typically reserved for outlaw-style or short-duration drag bikes, where weight reduction and simplicity outweigh long-term engine protection.

For street or extended-use race bikes, we strongly recommend retaining the oil cooler to maintain proper oil temperature and engine longevity.
