Spring Pressure When Using a Clutch Cushion Kit with a Lock-Up Clutch

Spring pressure adjustments may be required when using a Clutch Cushion Kit with a Lock-Up Clutch. However it depends on which lock-up clutch you are using:

• MTC Lock-Up with Billet Inner Basket:
  You will need to use the specific MTC spring kit designed for this setup.

• Bolt-On Lock-Up (using our Ultra-Mod):
  Install according to the instructions included with your lock-up. You should configure your lock-up with alternating nut/bolt on 3 of the 6 levers (this lever setup recommendation also applies to MTC units).

• Existing Lock-Up Previously Run Without Cushion:
  If you have a proven lock-up setup that worked well without the Cushion Kit, you should increase your static spring pressure by 100–125 lbs while using the lever configuration described above.
