If I flash my own ECU, will Brock's Performance MAPS still work correctly?
It is important to understand that if you alter your base fuel mapping in the ECU using a third party flashing software (Woolich, FTecu, etc…) that Power Commander and or Bazzaz maps will no longer function properly and our technical support staff will not be able to help you troubleshoot problems.
Our Map Support program is based on the OEM configuration or OEM with proper derestriction flash so that all bikes are on the same page; the moment you alter this, you have created a custom configuration and will be on your own just like any other racer or tuner.
If you decide to import our PCV maps into your ECU you will need to contact your third-party software provider for any questions pertaining to this import. Brock’s Performance technical support cannot help you troubleshoot items we do not know, sell, and/or have not been properly trained to use.
Brock’s Performance currently offers our own ECU flashes via mail order only (must send your ECU) and does not offer our ECU Bin Files for sale separately.
If you elect to have Brock’s Performance flash your ECU to match our Power Commander mapping (Stage 1 Flash for use with PCV), the flash will match the PCV and vice-versa which will allow easy user adjustment of fueling through the PCV, without the need for an internet connection. We typically install a Dynojet Map Selection Switch which allows us to switch from dual pre-installed maps stored in the ECU.
Example: Street Map in position #1 or Track or Pump Track map in position #2. The maps change at the flip of the switch.
