My mechanic accidentally oiled my Sprint Filter - What should I do?
This happens on occasion because Sprint Filter's polyester technology is so new/advanced.
Danger: Oil in the intake tract can cause catastrophic engine failure, especially in supercharged/turbocharged applications... Please do not operate the bike until the Sprint Filter has been properly cleaned of any oil.
Tell your mechanic that he can use any readily available air filter cleaning solution to remove the oil. If this is not available, regular dishwashing liquid, followed by a blast of compressor air to dry works well also.
